She grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and moved to San Diego where she earned a double BA in Visual Arts Media and Comparative Politics at University of California, San Diego.
Claire's work often explores and satirizes contemporary political and social movements. She is interested in the marriage of art and politics as an avenue to enact progressive change.
Originally specializing in collage, her style is heavily inspired by pictorialism and unorthodox ways of inventing meaning and aesthetic rather than recording reality.
